And the Winners Are...

...still unofficial.

And I am...(drumroll...........................................)

Not one of them!

No surprise there, but again, I'm thrilled to have even been in the mix this year. A big "THANKS!" goes out to all of you who nominated me and voted for me. That alone is a reward in and of itself and one I never asked for nor expected.

I "met" a lot of great new blogs this year, soon to be added to my sidebar. Our late Holy Father, Pope John Paul II would be so proud to see us carry on his directive to use technology to spread the Word of God and the love of Christ throughout the world in such an enterprising way.

So go check out the Unofficial Results of the 2007 Catholic Blog Awards!

I'll update again when the results are official, with all the pomp and circumstance such an event requires.

I looked at the lists and I thought, wow, so many links I could add to the sidebar but there is something to be said to just having your friends there.

Angela,

I know what you mean. The blogs I have listed are ones I visit regularly, maybe don't always comment on, but they have taught me something. And there are others which are NOT listed.

Yours is one of the first I go to every day, and one I type into my browser at work on my break. Or while I'm on hold. I hate being on hold, so I tend to surf when some corporation is making me wait.

Anyway, while all the nominees won't be listed, there are several who will be added because I will visit them again and encourage my readers to visit them as well.

You deserved a nomination, by the way. I didn't finish my nominations, but although it may not mean much, you were on my list.

The awards are supposed to be fun, but no popularity award takes the place of what most of us do every day, which is write what is on our hearts. That's where the real business takes place.

Wow. Suddenly I'm embarassed at being nominated. I was going to say more, but I don't think I can anymore.

I didn't win either, but it is always fun to be part of the voting!
