My Identity

I've written before of the reasons I blog anonymously, using a pen name. Among my readers are MANY who know who I am, where I live, where I work, etc. etc. etc. They keep me very accountable and they often disagree with what I say although they don't always do so publicly.

For those who would like my personal information but aren't entitled, here is what you need to know:

1. My name is Adoro. Last name: te Devote
(root: Latin type: romance language like Spanish, Swahili, French) Meaning: I Adore You [Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament]

2. I live in Minneapolis

3. If you don't like my blog, please call or fax the following numbers to complain:

Switchboard: 202-456-1414
FAX: 202-456-2461

(Eventually I'll probably be silenced and you'll finally be at peace and have no one to flame with anonymous demands for personal information)

*
I used to have a complaint department, but the taxes were so high I couldn't afford to keep them on staff so I had to let them go. I hear they've been hired out as anonymous flamers on blogs, news pages and other websites. Quite a lucrative job if you can get it.

It only requires a lack of dignity, willingness to leave logic and courtesy at the sign-in page and basically be as big a jerk as possible but without the chance of anyone ever finding out who you are without tracking your IP Address....hmm...which is really fun to do....

I'm sure that the responsible parties at those phone numbers will be sure to get right on it. I encourage you to call and complain vigorously!

:D

Hahaha, :), I'm not going to complain at those numbers :)

I'd give a number for my own complaint department but I had to let them go. Taxes were too high....

Well, I would call and complain at those numbers... just not about Adoro! About... what was it now.. something about health care?

Somebody does NOT like your blog!? They must be seriously disturbed.

Tara ~ Actually, an anonymous troll just doesn't like my commenting policy even though she actually hasn't had any of her comments deleted by me although she is accusing me of such.

She has a problem with the Church and apparently the fact that I support and agree with the teachings of the Church.

And she apparently feels entitled to my name, address, and phone number.

So I responded! :-D

...and here I always thought "te" was your middle name!

I was always more of a "don't call us, we'll call you" type of person myself. ;-)

Your post made me smile:) Pleased to meet you Adoro and I like your blog very much because you are straightforward and don't pull any punches. Truth can be hard to come by in our days.
My word verification is crabio. It made me laugh because a few posts back you said that you have a temper.

Sorry, remiss on responses!

Hidden One ~ Always happy for the support of you Canuks!

LauraAnne ~ It's the only way I'll ever become a Saint! :-D

Joe ~ No, but someone might call there to complain about YOU! (Not me, though!)

Christine~ Thanks, but no, YOU rock! EVERYONE should be reading your blog!

Mike ~ I have updated the post to explain a little, but here's the fuller version: consider the other romance languages like "de la Cruz" or "de Rosier" or "La Fontaine". So is "te Devote" or "Te Devote". Americanized is Tedevote, but I use the Latin wording with only a small change than one would see in a document using the phrase in its proper usage of "te devote."

Brother Juniper ~ Yeah, I'm with you on that!

Mary ~ The pleasure is all mine! :-) I am truthful in what I post, I do my best to be faithful to what the Church teaches, and I know that when I speak of secular things my opinions, guided by my Faith, tend to set people off. Of course, my faithful postings QUOTING the local ordinary set people off even more.

I love your verification word. Yes, I AM crabby! (I can't use that word because it applies to my good friend Crabby or Cranky Cathy at www.therecoveringdissidentcatholic.blogspot.com )

:-)

Definitely go visit her and get your fix of Truth! :-)

I really wish someone would call those numbers and complain vociferously about Adoro. I'd like to see the face of whoever deals with said call. Perhaps the Secret Service will get involved.

Adoro- you are much better off without the complaint department ... if you thought that the taxes were too high, wait until you find out what you would have had to pay for HEALTH CARE!!! :-)

Happy Friday-
Blessings,
