A Confession....

I really, really like this song. I know I shouldn't, but I do. And I really, really shouldn't both because of the fact I see this kind of behavior every day and completely abhor it, and because when my boyfriend cheated on me ('way back when in my mid-20's), I had no desire to do what the song describes. I simply do not have violent traits....but boy howdy, how I wish I had the opportunity to belt this song out with a good band!

I have been jammin' to this song ALL DAY LONG!

"Before He Cheats" (Carrie Underwood)

"Right now he's probably slow dancing with a bleach blond tramp,
and she's probably getting frisky...
right now, he's probably buying her some fruity little drink cause she can't shoot whiskey...

Right now, he's probably up behind her with a pool-stick, showing her how to shoot a combo...

And he don't know...

That I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive,
carved my name into his leather seats...
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,
slashed a hole in all 4 tires...

Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.

Right now, she's probably up singing some
white-trash version of Shania karaoke..
Right now, she's probably saying "I'm drunk"
and he's a thinking that he's gonna get lucky,
Right now, he's probably dabbing on 3 dollars worth of that bathroom polo...
And he don't know...

That I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive,
carved my name into his leather seats,
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,
slashed a hole in all 4 tires...

Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.

I might've saved a little trouble for the next girl,
Cause the next time that he cheats...

Oh, you know it won't be on me!

No...not on me
'Cause I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive,
carved my name into his leather seats...
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights,
slashed a hole in all 4 tires...

Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.

Oh.. Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats...

Ohh... before he cheats...

I didn't realize that this was Carrie Underwood. Perhaps she should have just let Jesus take the wheel?

I always sing along with this song when it comes on the radio.

I especially love the line: "Right now, she's probably up singing some
white-trash version of Shania karaoke." It cracks me up every time.

That Shania line gets me, too. I realized, though, that I really shouldn't play that song with the kids in the car necessarily.

But, man! It is SUCH a catchy thing!

It's just too bad that Carrie Underwood can't sing or look good, though, huh? ;)

Adoro: Fear not, I love that song too! Bathroom Polo-LOL! Total bar song.

OK, I feel less guilty now. Clearly it's a girl thing if we all like this song!

I guess this must be "Get to know the REAL Adoro Day!"

Hey, thanks for the impromptu support group! I would never consider behaving that way, but I look forward to hearing this song on the radio. It's hilarious!

I'm actually a little disturbed that we all like this song...what does this say about us?

Of course, the only people who would have anything to fear would be men who cheat.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,"

So, just remember that, Ray. Hell Hath no fury....

Oh my gosh, I'm totally as sick as all y'all! I love this song (well, not the words, but the melody is sure catchy) and I always get all indignant in the car when it comes on the radio and turn it right away so my huge, Carrie U. fan girls don't hear it...imagine my surprise when it came on the radio one day and they knew ALL the words. The bathroom Polo line makes me laugh so hard I almost pee my pants and the girls just like the song and don't get why I thinks it's so alternately bad/funny! (Sigh) Darn sinful nature.

Yes its catchy. My boyfriend said DONT YOU EVER DO THIS TO MY CAR!!! I said well duh...DONT EVER SCREW UP THEN!
The subject was then dropped.
