Passio

"My passion has been crucified and there burns in me no desire for corruptible things."
 ~ St. Ignatius of Antioch

Temptations are allowed by God to give us the opportunity to love Him more than our inordinate desires.

Our God who created us knows our weaknesses, and in His generosity, has given us the sacraments so that we may be strengthened once again for the battle.  And in that way, our sins are erased so that He may no longer look upon our many failures, but rather, our many acts of love in constantly desiring to reorder our own passions to be in union with the Divine Will.

thanks. God allows us to be tempted. How can we say God teach me patience and expect him not to put us in situations that will try our patience so that we can learn patience.
