It's like we know when we're not humble, but if we ARE humble, we don't notice...part of the virtue is not noticing.

Christina ~ (I love your name) - I noticed that too, as a secondary thing that day. It's something that always comes up and I try to remember. In this world it always seems like the wicked are winning and the just are being attacked. So that hit me, too.

I love how God can speak so universally and emphasize the specific points!Adorohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02853244433854822731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15170815.post-87707050166518464712008-06-13T18:56:00.000-05:002008-06-13T18:56:00.000-05:00I pray the Office and what struck me on Tuesday we...I pray the Office and what struck me on Tuesday were several lines in Morning prayer. I know someone who is being attacked unjustly and the constant message of trusting in the Lord despite evil really hit home.

He really does speak to each person's heart at the point they need it most, even through the same source material.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07592851515207841008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15170815.post-89370488607084610312008-06-12T07:11:00.000-05:002008-06-12T07:11:00.000-05:00I know I’m probably telling you something you alre...I know I’m probably telling you something you already know, but when you do surrender, you probably won’t feel it. I think a person can surrender and still have that “clogged” feeling in their heart for the rest of their lives. I don’t even necessarily think everyone can make that lifelong decision to surrender. Maybe hour by hour is all we can do. I love Joan of Arc and even she, a girl who fought and was wounded in real war, considered recanting when a horrible death was near.

I think of how patient God has been with my conversion, waiting for me to form year by year, letting me grow roots. Maybe surrender needs roots too and requires time, and that as far as God is concerned, you’re right on schedule.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15170815.post-12913127657362790222008-06-10T18:50:00.000-05:002008-06-10T18:50:00.000-05:00AMEN.AMEN.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
