Vincenzo has kindly provided a picture of me wearing my previously-referenced hat and mantilla, thus explaining how I can offer both a Hat-Tip and Mantilla-twitch when linking to other blogs.
So...Mantilla-twitch and Hat-tip to YOU,
Vincenzo! :-) Thanks!
awesome! LOL
ReplyDeleteFantastic! So, when are you going to market it? You might have the latest in Catholic fashion.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how Vincenzo did the mantilla, but it looks great.
ReplyDeleteFather ~ Uh, I'm making a fashion statement. I just don't know what kind. And I'm not sure it will work with those who don't like the pill-box look...reminds too much of arsenic and old lace methinks... ;-)
ReplyDeleteRachel ~ I think he's been stalking me.
It looks so great with your big, beautiful eyes.
ReplyDeleteI look far better simpsonized than I do in real life!
ReplyDeleteRachel,
ReplyDeleteI grabbed a real mantilla from a pic using the lasso tool, pasted it, used Multiply blending mode which erased the white background, and extended the length a bit. =)

Vincenzo ~ I wish what you were saying made sense to me, but I have to say this...what you created looks a LOT like the mantilla I wear at Mass, whether you extended it or not!
ReplyDeleteDunno where you live, but if you were local to me I'd ask for photoshop lessons! You DO have a gift!
Adoro, thanks. I'm still relatively new to Photoshop (spent years using other applications - i.e. Paint Shop Pro) and have been trying to figure it out via trial and error.
ReplyDeleteVincenzo, haven't I seen your pictures often on WDTPRS too? Maybe you should start a blog just for your photoshop work, with links to the posts that inspired them for context... Heck, I'd read it. :)
ReplyDeleteRachel,
ReplyDeleteYes that's me. I'll think about it =)
