A Thank You and a Renewed Bleg

Firstly, I offer a big THANK YOU to those of you who have assisted with Fire's Vet bills, and Fire thanks you, too. Actually, if you met him, he'd just walk up to you and demand to be petted because that's what he lives for. :-) He's just maintaining right now, his attitude is fine, he's interested in chasing squirrels and bunnies, an very frustrated with me for not allowing him to do so. He still can't go for real walks and I don't know if he ever will again...I don't really know what to expect. I will continue to provide updates. Please look here if you are interested in helping with Fire's Vet Bills.

Next on the list...

Grad School - Institute for Pastoral Theology. The deadline for registration is August 10, only a few weeks away. To date, I'm not even close to having the money, although, at $2,000 per semester for Grad credits, well, that's not bad. It absolutely kills me to see that this really is affordable and I can't pay for it. Such is life. When I was awarded the Merit scholarship, I was told to ask others for assistance to cover the remainder of what I cannot afford. I was also told to contact the program director if the money still wasn't there so that he could see if there was anything he could do. And of course, he instructed me not to wait until the last moment!

So tonight I sent him an email advising of my situation and inquiring about my options. I assured him I am not withdrawing or giving up - not when there's still time for God to act.

I am also renewing my request to any of you who may be willing or able to help to contribute to this fund. I hate blegging, but again, several people have suggested I do so, including the IPT Director (not blegging specifically...more like begging in general! lol!)

So if you do wish to assist with this, click here.

Thank you for anything you can do...including simply offering prayers!

  5. Sure wish I could help but I am looking at a bill of $2000 for my summer courses that is due in August. Then my final bill in the fall. No money here to spare. But I will offer up my suffering during my studies for you (which might be just as good as a montetary donation LOL).

My prayers are with you, if this is God's will there will be a way made for this to happen. I am sure of it.

  7. uncle jim ~ LOL! This is a spandex-free zone!

About the link...I'm on dialup and even though this computer is actually very fast, it's still too slow to allow me to watch You Tube. One day, I'll get high speed or broadband...when it's obsolete! :-) What does it show?

angelmeg ~ I'll be offering prayers for you...in reading your posts, you are really suffering with that stuff! (And if you don't mind my saying so, terrifying me in the process because I know what's coming if this works out for me....)

And all I can say is...God's will be done! It will be, of that I have no doubt. I just hope I'm doing the right things to cooperate with him. You know even better than I do, methinks!

  8. the YouTube piece was a retake of song that was popular in an old-time movie from around late 50's (1959) starring Frank "mr Blue Eyes himself" Sinatra - it is a song called "High Hopes" - movie name was "A Hole in the Head"

    lyrics:

    Writer(s): cahn/van heusen

Next time you're found, with your chin on the ground
There's a lot to be learned, so look around

Just what makes that little old ant
Think he'll move that rubber tree plant
    Anyone knows an ant, can't
    Move a rubber tree plant

But he's got high hopes, he's got high hopes
He's got high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time your gettin' low
    stead of lettin' go
    Just remember that ant
Oops! there goes another rubber tree plant

When troubles call, and your back's to the wall
There's a lot to be learned, that wall could fall

Once there was a silly old ram
Thought he'd punch a hole in a dam
No one could make that ram, scram
    He kept buttin that dam

'cause he had high hopes, he had high hopes
He had high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time your feelin bad
    stead of feelin sad
    Just remember that ram
Oops! there goes a billion kilowatt dam

All problems just a toy balloon
    They'll be bursted soon
They're just bound to go pop
Oops! there goes another problem - kerplop!

it would make you laugh i'm sure, and make you feel good and full of hope at the same time.

  9. I can't get the paypal to work. It says I am registered, but won't send me the password I forgot.

Can you provide an address to send checks to? PO Box?

I really want to donate! You are such a brave soul.

  10. Potamiaena ~ I had a problem with paypal, too, but if you go to your account info where it shows your email, you may need to click on a link there to verify your email address. That worked for me, so try that, if it doesn't work, then send me an email. :-)

God bless you and thanks for being willing to help. Really, though, no bravery here. I'm just flying by the seat of my pants and hoping to be doing the right things!

Uncle Jim ~ I'm sure I would get a kick out of it! :-)
